Hot composting produces finished compost quickly by maintaining a balanced mix of browns and greens, good moisture and aeration. Keep temperature between 55–65°C and turn the heap every few days to maintain airflow and even decomposition. Troubleshoot by adding greens if it won’t heat, or adding browns if it smells or looks wet.
